The hotel occupies two buildings from the end of the 19th century in a privileged location in the center of Madrid. Both buildings are included in the catalog of protected buildings and represent a sample of the characteristic architecture of Madrid at the time. The program is developed to establish a classic luxury hotel in keeping with the character of the building.
The façade, roofs and cataloged elements of the buildings are restored. In the facade viewpoints, the deteriorated balcony imposts are rebuilt, the zinc is recovered and the wrought iron bars are cleaned and repaired. The original wooden carpentry, which was in very poor condition due to the humidity, is reproduced.
The building faces three streets, which allows almost all of the rooms to be exterior.

The asbestos-cement roof was dismantled and replaced by a zinc roof on the facade with sections of flat roof in the interior areas, which are hidden from view and where the facilities will be located.
The building has 4 good-sized courtyards that are restored and where the original carpentry and moldings will be recuperated. Most of the openings in the patio are used to illuminate the corridors of the rooms by means of unique light sources that are incorporated into the design.

The building will be accessed from one of the corners of the façade, through several groups of cast-iron columns. The reception is located in the 8-story courtyard closest to the entrance. To adjust the scale of the courtyard, a very permeable decorative roof is lowered to protect the views, while letting in a lot of light to keep the feeling of being outdoors.
Another of the courtyards will be incorporated into the restaurant that is also being projected on the ground floor. The program of public areas is completed with a small spa in the basement taking advantage of the thick masonry walls with original semicircular arches.
