Manzanares el Real - arvo arquitectura de Juan

Sometimes the opportunity comes up to project in a truly spectacular setting. When this happens and you can also add the trust and enthusiasm of the client, the project can become the shared vision of a dream.

This project consists of a single-family house in the highest part of the Cabeza de Illescas estate, with views of both the reservoir of Manzanares El Real and the mountains of Madrid. U-shaped, its interior part faces south and overlooks an intimate garden and the chapel, in contrast with the impressive views of the reservoir to the north.

In front of this powerful natural environment, the intention was, above all, to adapt the site to the terrain and to its natural slope. The multiple flat roofs of the house, which act as protection against the sun and rain, go down with the slope, leaving the generous glass facades totally open.
