A project in the antipodes. This project was commissioned to Rockwell Group, where María de Juan worked as project manager for five years. The objective of the project was to create a commercial concept for an unappealing mall located in the Center of Wellington, New Zealand.
The Courtenay Cinemas were the driving force of the city center that was a bit distant from the retail area of Wellington. For this reason, a concept of food service areas was thought of, a natural complement to cinemas and very suitable for the office area in which they were located.
The most important thing was to change the perception of the residents of Wellington about the place, so a very radical new skin was proposed that would change its urban image.
